Imperial Power Relay Station
The Clone Wars & Clone Protocol 66
The current year for our homebrewed Clone Wars era campaign is set during 19 BBY.
Inspired By George Lucas

This installation is located in a southern rugged hilly region of Veridian, where the landscape is more dramatic than the rolling grasslands. The base was be built into a large rock formation. The primary purpose of the Imperial Power Relay Station is to serve as a critical power hub, ensuring the uninterrupted flow of energy to other Imperial facilities on Veridian. The station receives power from a larger source, a newly constructed hydroelectric dam, and then it relays that energy through a planetary grid to specific Imperial installations.

This energy is vital for powering the Imperial Armory Complex, factories, and resource-extraction facilities, such as the various mining quarries across Veridian. By centralizing the relay of power in a well-defended location, the Empire can protect a crucial part of its infrastructure from sabotage.

The loss of this station would severely disrupt Imperial operations in a wide-ranging area. The station's command center allows Imperial technicians to monitor power consumption and, if necessary, reroute or even cut power to specific areas, giving the Empire another tool for control over the populace and any potential rebel activity.

A seasoned Imperial Sergeant, a non-commissioned officer who is a career soldier and has a solid understanding of military tactics commands this installation. He reports directly to the command structure in Capital City and is responsible for the security and operational readiness of the station. A full squad of 8-10 stormtroopers are stationed here. They are the primary security force, responsible for guarding the perimeter and responding to threats.

The large, heavily armored pipes are the central feature. They are filled with power conductors and are well-protected from blaster fire. Two automated heavy laser turrets are mounted on the main structure to cover the main approach and the small external landing pad. They can be operated manually from inside the base. The station has a network of seismic and motion sensors placed around its perimeter. The control room has a visual console to monitor all feeds from the cameras and sensors. A secure armory contains spare weapons, ammunition, and other equipment. It is locked and only accessible by the Sergeant and the stormtroopers.

A single All Terrain Defense Pod (AT-DP) is the base's primary heavy combat vehicle. It patrols the outer perimeter of the base, intimidating locals and providing heavy firepower. Two speeder bikes are used for rapid-response patrols and to scout the surrounding canyons and rocky terrain. A single Lambda-class shuttle is kept on the landing pad for personnel transfers, resupply missions, and to evacuate key personnel in the event of an emergency. This shuttle would have a limited weapons complement for self-defense, but is primarily a transport vessel.
